Before leaving any pharmacy or using any pharmaceutical products, make sure to:
- Confirm the patient name on the label is accurate.
- Verify that the medication matches the description on the label.
- Understand the name of the medicine and its purpose.
- Learn how and when to take the medication, for how long, and what to do if a dose is missed.
- Review potential side effects and know what actions to take if they occur.
- Ensure the medication is safe to use with other medicines or supplements.
- Be aware of any foods, drinks, or activities to avoid while taking the medication.
KNOW YOUR RIGHTS
DermatologyAlliance is committed to providing clear and accessible information to all patients. As per regulations:
- You have the right to speak with a pharmacist each time you receive a new prescription or when there is a change in dosage, strength, or written directions.
- Prescription drug labels in a 12-point font are available upon request.
- Interpreter services are provided at no cost to you.
DermatologyAlliance will ensure that any medication or device legally prescribed to you is provided unless:
- You are unable to cover the cost of the drug or device; or
- The pharmacist determines dispensing the product would violate the law or pose a risk to your health.
- If a medication or device is not immediately available, DermatologyAlliance will work with you to ensure timely access. You can also request information about drug pricing and the availability of generic options.
